We are doing whitethorne to mccoy today with kayaks and a fishing pantoon.
What's the water like there? Any suggestions?
Hello, I was planning on floating this saturday from the eggleston bridge to one of the islands below the bridge at the pembroke takeout and camping on the island, the floating out to ripplemead sunday morning. I used you for a shuttle a few times last yr but never did a overnight. I wanted to know that camping on those islands is ok and that with the high water levels I wouldnt have too much trouble.
Thanks for making my first few trips to the New River the best!! I really appreciate it. The first smallmouth i cought was with Tangent and im glad. My family has become ADDICTED to fishing on the New River with Tangent. Thanks again!!
You can pick up what ever tackle that you need at our shop, we have an incredible selection of lures that are availible. Our selection is specific for our local waters, with the New River and its tributaries being the focus. Water conditions determine what lures we will be using on any given day. If the water is up and colored we will be using Spinner baits and crank baits. As the water drops and clears we move to jerk baits and as it drops and clears more we move to soft plastics. Your guide will check the conditions and make his plan based on the cu
I have recently reserved a guide on the new river. I have never been to the new river fishing. I am going for smallmouth. I need help on suggested tackle to take with me.(lures)?
I must say we love our trips with tangent! The tall curly headed guy with the fro bouncing in the air absolutely does a wonderful job. I believe its dave. He sings and talks to us and is just pure entertainment. His advice made me catch the bigest fish of my life!! Great Job Dave!!!!
p.s. what do you use in your hair to keep it all bouncy?
Great change guy`s! I love it! If I was looking for a New River outfitter on line... this would hook me like a 7lb 2oz smallmouth! See you soon!
Andy could be the finest guide on the new river. Young, handsome, and has long golden locks that glimmer in the sunlight. Another fine job by Tangent Outfitters. Especially good job to the shuttle driver with black curly hair. Thanks again.
Tangent, thanks for another day not wasted! I think the weather was pretty good again for March "smallies". Sure, I would have liked 70 and sunny with another "bronz back" over 7lbs this past weekend, but that doesnt happen every day (or does it). I guess 14 is truly a good day this time of year (I know I`ve been spoiled) and I did catch my personal best Muskie. Sweetpea was just happy to catch fish before and after lunch. It was a good way to prep for my Panama trip this week. I`ll be bringing the family up in May for a week and cant wait (I`ll bring pictures from the Panama trip).
